Local-first · Private · No upload bottleneck
ClipForge is an OpusClip-style AI clipping studio that runs entirely on your computer. Point it at a podcast, stream VOD, or gameplay recording — it finds the moments, reframes to 9:16, burns captions, and exports. Your raw footage never gets uploaded.
Windows 10/11 · macOS coming soon · Free plan, no account needed to try
Transcription, reframing, and export all run on your machine. Nothing uploads — ideal for long footage, client work, and privacy-sensitive video.
A 40 GB stream VOD doesn't crawl through an upload bar. Your computer does the work, so multi-hour sources are no problem.
Face tracking and active-speaker detection keep subjects centered in vertical. Fit-to-frame and multi-shot reframing built in.
Auto-detect a facecam and compose gameplay + cam — stacked or picture-in-picture — the look made for gaming shorts. Available on Pro.
Word-level captions with presets and full control of font, color, size, and position — burned in on export, exactly as you set them.
Run a fully local model (Ollama) or bring your own API key. You're never locked into — or billed for — someone else's cloud.
Drop in a file or paste a URL. It stays on your disk.
Local transcription + AI scoring surface the best moments.
Auto 9:16, gamer layouts, captions — tweak anything.
Queue every clip and export full-resolution, locally.
A subscription to the app — not metered cloud credits. The work runs on your machine.

No. Transcription, reframing, captions, and export all run locally. If you choose the optional cloud AI key, only small transcript text is sent to your chosen provider — never your video.
For local AI clip selection (Ollama) a reasonably modern machine helps. Or bring your own API key and any machine works — the heavy video processing is efficient FFmpeg.
